Thanks for all the Great Reviews!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the great reviews on my google plus business page. I would love to see it continue to grow over 100, 5 star ratings and reviews. If you have a few minutes, visit

https://plus.google.com/+Lanceallenstudio/about?hl=en&review=1

And leave a nice 5 star review, whether you take lessons or not, it will be okay.

Don’t forget to set back, relax, have a cup of coffee, and play some guitar, perhaps even take a listen and thumbs up Lance Allen music on Pandora Radio.

Learn the Song, “The Eye” by Brandi Carlile on guitar with tablature

Hey everyone! A lot of people ask me from time to time who some of my favorite artists are. Here lately it’s been a lot of Brandi Carlile. Me and my wife really enjoy here songs and have seen her perform in Nashville several times. Her music has certainly been my goto station on Pandora Radio.

I thought, as a fan, I would give a lesson of her new song, “The Eye”

Here’s their official video of the tune. Here’s where you can download the song The Eye – The Firewatcher’s Daughter

Isn’t it nice? Now for the fun part.. I challenge you to learn the song and enjoy for your self. Having the capo up high may be strange, but it sure is a pleasure to play.

Download the tab for only $5 (Just a cup of coffee or dessert)

Now that you know I worked really hard to put this together, consider taking  Skype Guitar lessons with me, or sending me a tip to paypal. I really enjoy teaching and I’m fortunate enough to make a modest living doing so.

And Brandi and the twins… If you all find this somehow, I hope you will endorse it and perhaps we could hang out sometime in Nashville TN. I’ll buy you coffee at my favorite coffee house called Eighth and Roast. Thanks for being awesome!

Your fan and musical friend,

Lance Allen

March Happenings for Lance Allen

Hey Everyone. I was just running through my list of subscribers and wanting to thank you for subscribing and listening to me from time to time.

I’ve been teaching a lot of people lately and juggling family life at home with a newborn son (almost 6mo now!) and 5yr boy already rocking it in school!

In February I did a custom music track for a company in Spain called Voipalia. It turned out really nice and will be a theme of theirs for their company brand. Take a listen HERE.
If you want something like this for your company let me know. I just about do any style of instrumental music.

I’m also playing at Antique Archaeology today which is a famous place in Nashville where American Pickers sells the stuff they pick out of people junk on TV.

Also Takamine Guitars is now ran by ESP and I’m hopeful that they’ll be hiring me some this year to do events, clinics, video demonstrations and such.

Here’s the latest Video of their new LTD2015 model Takamine Guitar with my music playing over it. I hope it entices people to buy. 🙂

Ya’ll have a nice day and Go Ky Wildcats!!

Skype Guitar Lessons, I’m getting more and more students from all over the world!

So just this week I’ve been asked about skype guitar lessons from Long Island, NY, Ghana, Ireland, just to name a few! It’s still my goal to have taught guitar in all 50 states using skype.

Take a look at my map and see if you are in a state that I haven’t taught in yet. Give me a try and I look forward to hearing from you.

I specialize in acoustic guitar and fingerstyle guitar methods, but I’m accomplished on the electric guitar as well.

If you’re reading this and know someone that might be interested, tell them. I pay $20 for referrals!

Not much else is going on.

Oh, I am finishing up my 3rd CD at the moment. I have another song to add to it to make 12 songs on the disc. It will be another wonderful solo guitar cd.

You’ll be hearing more about this project as it get finished.

Nov. 29 is my birthday! Here’s my Happy Birthday Fingerstyle Guitar Arrangement!

I’ve always loved to celebrate birthdays! Especially my own! lol!

Here’s my arrangement of the Happy Birthday Song for fingerstyle guitar!

Skype Guitar Lessons in all 50 states

So I have this little goal to have taught guitar lessons in all 50 states using skype. I emailed a bunch of music stores in states that I have not taught in, but have had no responses.  I’ve even contacted my local news stations to see if they might be interested in running a story on this method of teaching.
So far I’ve taught in these states.
Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), Florida (FL), California (CA), New York (NY), Ohio (OH), New Jersey (NJ), Missouri (MO), Nevada (NV), Pennsylvania (PA), Indiana (IN) Oklahoma (OK), Nevada (NV) Rhode Island (RI), Kentucky (KY), South Carolina (SC), Washington (WA), Hawaii (HI), Michigan (MI), Wisconsin (WI), Illinois (IL), Colorado (CO), Utah (UT), Oregon (OR)

Feel free to get in touch with me, even if you live in one of these states, as the next goal is all the major cities in the United States. I’m also looking to teach in foreign countries to those that can afford my rates and communicate in English.

I’m writing this to find students. You don’t have to pay for first lesson, but I encourage you to sign up for a month of four if you desire.
If satisfied, you must be willing to leave a review on my google place and website along with a picture of you holding guitar.
This will serve as proof of my teaching in all 50 states.

I’m a Takamine Clinician/Artist and clinician and promote many products on youtube and website blogs. I’m involved with NAMM and volunteer at WO Smith Music in Nashville, TN.

Help me achieve this goal!

If you subscribe to Retailer Magazine, be on the look out for my article on how to do skype lessons. Should be in the August issue after summer NAMM.

Skype name is guitarlancer

I’ve even tried to get on The Today Show, and with your help I can probably make it happen.

You can paste in this information in the contact area.

World’s Top Skype Guitar Teacher

Me and new friend/co-guitarist Bill Neale

Meeting Guitarist Bill Neale

As a guitar teacher near Nashville, you get to meet lots of professionals in the music industry. So I set up a meeting at Crema, one of my new favorite coffee houses in Nashville.

I just happened to meet Bill Neale, a mo-town guitarist, who played for numerous bands, but most notably, The Temptations.

Bill gave me some of his history about playing guitar and how he got his start. He was really into mo-town music and hung around enough to get the chance to play with The Temptations, thus landing him a gig, and a lot of future opportunities. As a result of playing with The Temptations, he also had some experience with Jackson 5. I found it interesting that Bill was only 17 when he first started playing professionally.

Imagine taking lessons at 13-14 years old, and then getting a gig with Adele at 18. HOW RIDICULOUS WOULD THAT BE?! Thats how famous and hard working The Temptaions were in their day.

Bill and I hit it off really well and and I told him a lot about my lesson business in Smyrna TN, and how I use skype to teach people all over the world.  He got to meet Mojo, my lovely Takamine Guitar. We’ll be getting together soon at Lance Allen Studio for a jam, and I’ll give him some advice on teaching beginning students and getting people really interested in the guitar.

Bill is also an official Benedetto Guitar Endorser and Product Promoter.

Here is the link to his site.
